Join with us as we serve our partner Pastor Hooi and his wife Magalys.
Pastor Hooi has started to teach the local community how to do sustainable urban farming and provides safe water in partnership with SWIM For Him as a means of building relationships and sharing Christ. His wife, Magalys spends her time making disciples first, of her own children, and then works with many of the women who have been sexually and physically abused in her community using the Stories In Grace (SING) curriculum. They are also frequently in the prisons ministering to inmates. In all that they do in the barrio, they are committed to making the love of Jesus Christ known in the flesh.
Our team will be coming alongside Pastor Hooi and Magalys as well as some local men in the church to help clear the land for more agricultural projects to help sustain the community. Their humble home and those in the surrounding community could use some hands on help as well. Beyond the physical labor, we want to continue to disciple our brothers and sisters in this impoverished community with the love of Jesus. Laboring together is building relationship and giving us opportunity to speak Truth, love and encouragement into their lives.
